Frozen but pretty

Standard Monday morning.  Oh, there was some excitement, I mustn’t forget.  The Tooth Fairy came.  Almost two weeks late, but she finally did come.  Something tells me it was worth the wait.

All of the vegetation was frozen when we raised the blinds this morning.

frozen berries

I do love the way the trees look when the branches are frozen.  I’m surprised there are any berries (or crab apples?) left, as you should see the ridiculous amount of critter tracks below the tree.  I did see a squirrel hopping from branch to branch the other day, scrounging what he could.

After preschool drop-off, Teagan and I settled in for the morning.  The sun began to shine and blue skies peaked through the clouds.  The way the sun bounced off of the frozen branches made it look like there were Christmas lights.  I wish you could have seen it the way I did.  These pictures don’t really do it justice but I took some anyway.

The tip of each branch is glimmering in the sun.  Different colors.  I see reds and greens and yellows.  It almost looks like there are diamonds on the tips.  OH, HOW I WISH!

  1. Pretty!! I love those kinds of mornings, but not when you have to go outside!

  2. Me too, Ann! I hibernate in the winter.
