There is such a gap between my blog posts here that I couldn’t even remember my login information. Sad! However, I’m feeling more inspired to write again. You know how back and forth I am. Sometimes I get annoyed with myself because I’m not happy with the way I write, yet, I don’t want to give it up. I’m not a professional writer by any means but I do love to express my thoughts, even if it’s just one or two words with one big photo. I love taking pictures. I take pictures every single day of anything and everything. It’s my favorite hobby. Someday, I plan on taking a class and learning more about photography. For now, I just take pictures of things that I like, the way I like them. That is being artistic enough for me.

That being said, forever ago I snapped a photo of a hawk that decided to perch in the tree outside of our living room window. Scared the crap out of me. It just sat there, looking in at us. Hailey was just a baby. My friend, Sarah, told me that it was good luck to see a hawk looking in your window. I’m pretty sure she just said that to make me feel better.

Anyway, today, I saw this hawk sitting in a tree near our house:

Totally reminded me of that hawk from five years ago which also reminded me of how much I used to write here.  Back then, it was more fun to write here than update my Facebook status.  I don’t think there was a Facebook five years ago, or at least, I wasn’t hip to it yet.

I share a lot of photos but I don’t share a lot of words.  I’m going to try to start sharing words more often.
