Admittedly, I try to come up with clever post titles but I know I fail miserably. Yet, I continue to try.
Anyway, that has nothing to do with this blog post. I really don’t have a purpose for this blog post except for that I feel like rambling and updating about the pregnancy. Because I remember not updating enough when I was pregnant with Hailey and I was mad at myself for it.
So, I suffered from morning (all-day) sickness for TEN weeks with this pregnancy. I can’t believe that part is over. I finally feel “ok”. Not great…because I don’t feel great when I’m pregnant. But I like to eat again and I’m not as tired or moody. Although, my husband may tell you a completely different story.
I had a little scare the other day. There was blood. Just a quarter-size amount. Freaked me out pretty good. However, I could possibly relate it to two things:
a) I had an internal exam where my cervix was fondled. That sounds strange. They were just checking to make sure it is where it should be. So, scratch the whole fondling thing. During this same exam, my stomach was pushed on. It wasn’t pleasant but it was for a good cause.
b) I had a ridiculously severe coughing fit right before I saw the blood. I sneezed and coughed simultaneously and completely lost my breath. It was a strange feeling that I hope I never feel again. I coughed so. very. hard.
After that, I didn’t see anymore blood. I’m about 99% sure I feel the baby (girl) moving, so I really think things are fine. I did call my doctor and make him aware. They don’t seem too concerned either. So, I’m going on, believing that things are just fine. Next doctor’s appointment is in two weeks.
I just had my second progesterone shot. First one, in the left hip; second one, in the right hip. The first one – didn’t feel a thing. The second one hurt like a mother. Not sure if it’s because of where the nurse poked me or if it’s because the progesterone is refrigerated. It felt cold going in.
So, things are just peachy keen. The sun is out, we were able to get out to the park and make some friends yesterday and hopefully again today. I know this weather is just a tease but Spring is just around the corner. After this weekend, we get more daylight and that makes me super happy.

Eeeek – I have to admit I would FREAK OUT if I saw blood – I know it can be totally normal but still when it happens to you… I’m glad you’re feeling better and you’re starting to feel movement!
Not afraid of blood anymore after what I went through with my 2nd pregnancy. I bled throughout the whole pregnancy and the baby was perfectly fine. He was completely fine and in fact my easiest newborn thus far. Of course I was a wreck, but heard that some women are just normally like that. There was nothing wrong. No placenta previa, no anything…
I hope that eases your worry away.
