I couldn’t let too much time pass without talking about our Halloween. This October 31st was one of the most fun that we’ve had in a while. Usually, we go out to dinner for my birthday but this year, we took Hailey “treating”, no tricks.
We started out the day by going out to lunch with the Halloween lunch bunch. We did this last year, too. We met up at Johnny Rockets with my friend Kerry and her boys, along with several of her good friends. All of the kids were in their costumes and we had such a fun time. The wait staff even did a little dance “routine”. Johnny Rockets is a cute place; very 60′s diner-esque. There are jukeboxes on each table and for a nickel, you can play your favorite “oldies”.

Unfortunately, our picture turned out pretty fuzzy. After lunch, we went home to prepare for the evening. It was absolutely gorgeous outside! We took Hailey to a closeby neighborhood and there were so many kids out trick-or-treating. Everyone seemed to be in really good spirits and Hailey caught right on to the deal, going house to house and getting candy. She was very polite and at each house saying, “Trick-or-treat” and before leaving saying, “Thank you, Happy Halloween!” We had to remind her occasionally because her face was glued to the inside of her bag.

Holidays are becoming more and more enjoyable, thanks to the little person we get to spend them with. Nothing like a little kid to bring out the “kid” in us adults.

Aren’t holidays just so much more fun with KIDS!?
