So, I went into Hailey’s room because I could hear her chattering away. I opened the door and there she was, sitting up on her bed, leafing through a magazine. A magazine you say? Yes. A magazine. Not just any magazine, one of my parenting magazines. She looks up at me as I stop frozen in my tracks and says,
“Come here, mommy. I want to show you something”.
I wanted to run and hide. “Oh no.” I thought. “She’s got me all figured out.” “There’s no escape now!” I thought for sure she was going to point out all of my parenting mistakes, instead, she wanted to show me a little bear. “Phew. I’m safe”. We sat and she flipped through every single page until she found “the little bear”. The little bear happened to be on an ad for a box of Orajel toothpase for toddlers. The little bear was actually on the box in the ad. It was very important to her that she show me this little bear. I had to laugh and just look at her adoringly.
I still want to know how and when that parenting magazing ended up in her bedroom in the first place? Isn’t it illegal for children to look through that thing? That’s like our guidebook, isn’t it?

Amy, I think your pretty safe, at least until she can read the book. Right now it’s just a picture book to her. But look out, she’s a smart little girl. Won’t be long and she will be reading it. haha
