Still talking about BlogHer? What the crap!

So, for days now. Oh, alright…for like TWO WEEKS now, I’ve been trying to recapture the whirlwind of a weekend that was a hot bloggy mess in San Francisco. Because it may be another years or so before I actually sit down and WRITE about BlogHer ’08, I’m just going to bullet point my memories here.

  • Sharing a moment. Feeling Ivy move and kick. Longing for that feeling again (my own).
  • Staying up (way too) late and sharing secrets with MJ and Arianne.
  • Eating Thai at midnight, giggling and taking camera phone pics with MJ, Steph and Arianne.
  • The lady with the nylons over her pants at Walgreens. That was wack.
  • The begger who posed as a statue on the street. Freaked me out every single time I passed him.
  • Tripping into the elevator and falling into “Laid Off Dad” and knocking his drink all over him. Yeah, hi there. That was me.
  • Locking myself out of our room. D’oh!
  • Having a sleep-over at MJ’s and coming back to my room at 6am – feeling like I was in trouble when Steph answered the door.
  • Hanging out with Allison, Mary and the Creole Princess – that girl is HEE-LARRY-US! She totally hated me at first. ; )
  • Meeting the owners of GreatAupair.com (my company) and Karrine (my co-worker) and having a four hour dinner at the Four Seasons
  • Karrine and I going back to the Westin and an old Irish guy trying to convince us to have a drink with him…then, Kay informing him that there are 1,000 women at our hotel. What was she thinking?
  • Makeovers at Saks – my make-up artist’s total sassy attitude and her trying to get me to purchase a $225 bottle of Mr. Georgio’s moisturizer. I loved her sass.
  • The Alltop/Kirtsy party at Guy’s house; partying with new peeps, meeting Guy, seeing Gabrielle again.
  • Guy’s sweet pimp hat (which is now in my possession…more on that soon)
  • Seeing Dooce in person and asking her a question. Even though I was sweating bullets.
  • The gorgeous Jory De Jardins. Seriously. The woman is beautiful. (Hi, Jory!) : )
  • Seeing other peeps who also attended the J&J event
  • Peeing my pants laughing at photos of Arianne, Steph and I
  • Macy’s Cocktail party and hanging with Mod*Mom

THINGS I DIDN’T GET TO DO IN SAN FRANCISCO:

  • See the Golden Gate Bridge
  • Go to the Fisherman’s Warf
  • Go to Sausilito
  • Shop! Sad panda. =(
  • Not taking videos of ANYTHING over the weekend. D’OH!
  • Not meeting Dooce in person
  1. We did make some great memories… and I’m sorry I missed out on some of those secrets but having the room all to myself and sleeping was divine! : )

I must thank you SO much for letting me use your laptop. So glad you weren’t needing it every morning at 5 am when I was up!

    Steph

  2. Mwwwa, back at ya, babe! My only regret was that I didn’t spend much time with you…. Booo!

  3. Oh man so fun. I miss your smiling face and laughing hysterically at basically nothing. I think MJ needs to come over and make us blush again…

  4. Oh Amy, it sounds so fantastic. What wonderful memories to share with your blogging buddies!

    :–) Nell
