We took Hailey to the Naperville Safety Town’s Trick-or-Treating event. A perfect size town for a little tot like ours. You never know how things are going to go with these toddlers who have minds of their own but Hailey was more than willing to put on her pink and black leopard costume and have her face painted. I got in on the action too, just in case she was thinking about giving me a hard time.

How bad do you want to bite her after seeing THIS picture???

We had to stand in a VERY long line to get into Safety Town so all the kids were playing and complimenting each other’s costumes. Hailey decided to gather up some kids and serenade them with some ring-around-the-rosey.

Our friend Joanne joined us and then presented Hailey with a box of six pairs of princess shoes! I have yet to take a picture of that.

Hailey was on it with the trick-or-treating. She walked right up to the houses and said “Trick-or-treat!” in that little tiny voice. She always followed that with a “Thank you”. She didn’t catch on right away that they were putting candy in her pumpkin bucket but soon enough…she knew exactly what was going on and started cruising around Safety Town like a pro.

I would say this was a pretty successful first trick-or-treat adventure as you can see by the following picture of a pooped out pink and black leopard.
