Some of these things are just too cute. Like for instance, here is a conversation the two of us JUST now had:

BEGIN SCENE

(Hailey has a baby doll in a stroller and is wheeling her around the house. There are a few toys in the back of the stroller going along for the ride)

ME: “Hailey, can your baby play with that frog?”

HAILEY: (Furiously shaking her head from side to side)”Mmmm-mmmm” (That sound is to be interpreted as a “no” with Kix in her mouth)

ME: “Why not?”

HAILEY: “Because.”

ME: (trying not to laugh at this answer) “Why because?”

HAILEY: “Because.”

END SCENE

Because. My two year old just told ME, “because”. She has no idea WHAT “because” is, yet she’s answering me with it. Oh, things are just beginning.
