We went to the marathon to cheer on Hailey’s Auntie Em and and Uncle Tim. It ended up being a VERY HOT morning in Chicago. If you haven’t already heard, they called the race and quite a few runners had to walk or take cooling buses to the finish line, including Emily, who ended up having to walk five miles to the finish line.

We didn’t stay until the end of the race because it was just too hot plus Hailey was fighting a nasty cold and was just miserable. Although, while we were there, we did play around in the Grant Park area. There are some “feet” sculptures there called “Agora”. Hailey did have a good time running around in-between all of the giant legs and feet.

Anyway, we’re very proud of Emily and Tim for running in the marathon! We love coming out to support our athletes. Way to go Em and Tim and all of the participants in this year’s HOT marathon!
