We met up with Hailey’s buddy, Jack and his mom, Lundie for a playdate at the mall this morning. Ok, you’re right. It was really a playdate for the mommies to have coffee and talk.
However, this meet-up for Hailey and Jack went a lot better than the last time. Lundie and I can hardly believe that our kids are as big as they are now. We’ll never forget how we met…standing near the pool looking confused with our pregnant bellies. Ahh, the good old days of prenatal swim aerobics. Good times.
It felt good for us to get out of our houses and let the kids romp around a bit.

Wish the outings could last a little longer but we end up doing as the toddlers wish. Give them about an hour and they are ready to be done. Both Hailey AND Jack crawled up into their strollers and patiently waited for the mommies to finish their conversation.
I’m so glad that I have friends who frequent the blogosphere as much as I do. We always have something to talk about that we’ve read here or there. We’ve also made other good friends and acquaintances there as well. We educate and inspire one another.

If you’re ever just “surfing” around, check out Lundie’s Devotions over at 5 Minutes for Mom’s “Faith Lifts“. Very inspiring indeed.
I have made many Christian friends via the web and from becoming a parent. They have made it much easier for me to appreciate my relationship with God and I thank each one of them for helping me with that.
After our playdate ended, Hailey and I did some SHOPPING for next week’s BlogHer Conference! More to come soon on that…

Ugh! I’m jealous. I want to come have coffee too! But do I have to bring a kid? Moms don’t seem to like it when I kidnap their kids to go on playdates. you’ll have to let me know how Blogher goes.
I SO wish I was able to go to Blogher. Sounds fun, and it’s so close this year!! HAve a great time.BTW, once the kids are back in school, I’m always up for coffee at the mall! :) (Like how I invited myself??)
