Since we couldn’t make the annual trip to the North woods with the rest of Eric’s family this week, we decided to take a day trip up to Lake Geneva in Wisconsin. It’s only about a two hour drive…why we have never went here before I’ll never know. It’s GORGEOUS there! There are beaches and the lake…the lake is beautiful!
We arrived and immediately headed for the beach. Hailey didn’t know what to make of the giant sandbox attached to a massive amount of water. She was thrilled, of course. She didn’t really want to mess with the sand because water beats sand any given day. So, we took her into the lake and she just loved it! She is more fearless than I imagined. She liked walking into the waves and she tried to walk as far as she could out into the water until the waves practically knocked her over.
Later on, we went swimming in our hotel pool. Seriously, the child has no fear. She walked until the water was chin deep and wanted to keep going! We let her go under a few times. It barely even phased her. She. loved. it. She kept trying to crawl out of her inner tube. She loved putting her face into the water. It was fun for us to watch how excited she was with all of this water around her. She definitely would have been hard to keep up with up at the cottage this week!

Cool, but almost scary, isn’t it? Now you KNOW that you must watch her without fail around every single water feature. You can be like me! A water freak mom. :)Glad you had fun. We haven’t taken the kids to Lake Geneva yet, either. Keep forgetting what a fun place it can be.
that’s so exciting! it looks like you all had a FABULOUS time! so you got a lil’ daredevil on your hands, eh? which one of you does she get that from??
