LadyBug, you’ve got style

We took Hailey to her very first concert. What a lucky girl…I didn’t go to my first concert until I was in high school. They say to start them a little early, don’t they? Anyway, “The Terrible Twos” came to town, supporting their brand new album, “If You Ever See an Owl”. I call their sound “Indie Rock for kids and their parents”. If you have visited Hailey’s blog long enough, you might be familiar with the band. We have Hailey’s “theme” song posted over on the sidebar, “LadyBug”. I’ve also posted a track from the album here.

Eric and I have been fans of Matt Pryor’s other projects for quite a while now. Matt says, “I made a record that I like that my kids like, too. We can all listen to it in the car without getting a migraine”, we knew this would be right up our alley! As you are all probably aware by now, music is this family’s first love. Hailey is already starting to sing and dance up a storm and we couldn’t be more thrilled about that.

Hailey did very well with her first “live” concert. She did, however, squeal like a teenage girl during the show. She was thoroughly enjoying herself and loved watching the band. She even attempted to get up on stage at one point. I still wonder what she thinks she would have done up there.

Here is a video from the concert earlier today of “Caroline”, off of their debut album, “If You Ever See an Owl”:

Now, I must direct you over to MumsTheWurd! because we are having another contest! This time, one lucky person will win a SIGNED copy of The Terrible Twos new album! The signatures are legit, I was standing right there. :) This post will be cross-posted over at Mums to save me some “time”. Head over there and enter! The contest will run from the 4th through the 8th with the winner being announced on Saturday the 9th. Good luck!

I leave you with the two goofy pictures that Eric snapped of Hailey and I with Matt Pryor and Eric McCann of the Twos:

  1. Great song!! I enjoyed it, and Hailey girl, you sure sounded like you enjoyed it to!!
