Today marks Hailey’s year and a half birthday! Hard to believe in another six months that she’ll have been around for two years. We look at her everyday and wonder how we all got to this point. Some things from her newborn and baby stages are still fresh in my mind but most of it is becoming a blur. Thank goodness for our pictures and our blogs. I will always be so glad that I have these things to remind me of how little she once was because it TRULY goes so fast.
Some notable things that have come up in the past couple of weeks are:
She “blesses” us when we sneeze. It comes out sounding like more of a “blllluuuu” but we know what she means by it.
She likes to answer our statements or questions with questions of her own. Such as,
Us: “Hailey, would you like a hot dog?”
Hailey: “Hot dog?”
Us: “Hailey, it’s time for your bath.”
Hailey: “Baaa???”
She’s trying so hard to sound things out now. I’m very impressed with her attempt at communicating with us. She’s also teething AGAIN. Am I really surprised? No. This time has proved to be the most difficult for her, I think. She’s getting all four eye teeth at once. They are just “slightly” poking through. She’s going to have one gorgeous smile.
We’re celebrating the day by just lounging around and enjoying the 80 degree weather. We were out earlier this morning and plan on heading out for a nice walk around the neighborhood a little later this evening.
OH, Hailey had her FIRST haircut today too. I’m not sure if I should “actually” consider it a haircut but I trimmed her bangs a little as you can CLEARLY see in the last photo above.

A very merry Half Birthday to you, Miss Hailey. You look very grown up with your haircut! Love, Natalie
