We took a trip to visit Great Grandma Lou and Grandma Barb today. Grandma Barb had the day off from school. It’s Casimir Pulaski Day. It’s a Chicago thing.

Anyway, we thought we could bring a smile to Grandma Lou’s face, after all that she has just been through. The most difficult thing was seeing that empty green chair where Grandpa used to sit. Hailey was on her best behavior and was chatting up a storm. Grandma Barb and I took Hailey down stairs to see the birds in the lobby. She got a kick out of them.

Hails thought it would be fun to play “peek-a-boo” with her Great Grandma Lou’s green seat cushion. She was also pretty fascinated with her scooter. I sat her on the seat so she could pretend she was driving. Next time we visit, she gets to go for a ride!
