Happy Valentine’s Day to my mom. She made me the person that I am today and for that, I am thankful. I’m proud to take the values that my mom instilled in me and use them in raising my own daughter. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for husbands and wives or significant others; it is for everyone who has someone to love.

Because I sing songs in the kitchen.
Because I make Hailey wear socks on her feet so she doesn’t catch a draft.
Because I make her wear a hat outside.
Because I’m always tucking her little hair behind her ears.
Because I make her say “please” and “thank you”.
Because we think first birthdays are important.

Because I let her lick the beaters.

Because I like to play dress up with her.

Because I let her play in the snow.

Because I value my marriage.

Because we were beautiful brides.

Because I worry about everything.

Because I love unconditionally, just like my mom and Hailey’s grandma.

what a sweet post! I love the photos. Funny how history repeats itself.
