Hailey is becoming more and more interested in feeding herself with a utensil. I found these great little Gerber spoons that are chubby, rubbery and round. They fit perfectly into her chubby little hands. The spoon part is deep and flexible, so she can get a good scoop of food and if when she gets it to her mouth, it is so flexible that she can just chew the food right off of it. (Does this sound like a commercial for Gerber or what?)
Anyway, we’re practicing, each day. She has successfully scooped food and placed it into her mouth a few times now with her new spoons. She’ll be dining at the fanciest restaurants in no time.
you’ll have to show them to me cause I’ve been giving J utensils w/ every meal & the spoons seem to small & skinny. sounds like yours are a winner!
i LOVE these spoons! they come in a pack of two. i picked up mine at targe’ a few days ago.
i went to targe’ today & alas they were all OUT of those darn spoons!! have to try another one! i WANT those spoons! hehe
Finally got a set for Jack yesterday! So far so good. He has more luck getting food picked up, but mostly he just sits there sucking on it. I think he prefers using his hands, but by far these are a better set to use until he gets the hang of it.
