Last year, on this day, we brought Hailey home from the hospital’s NICU. She spent eight days there, learning how to “eat”. I was ecstatic that we could bring her home the day before my birthday…the BEST birthday present EVER! So, technically, this is her 2nd Halloween but really it’s the first one she could “dress up”. Last year, she barely fit into her Halloween sleeper. Some friends over at Once Upon a Dream gave me a really cute idea. Carve all of the letters of Hailey’s name into a pumpkin each year.

Here is our little “ladybug” this year:

Since tomorrow is actually Halloween, we’re going to lunch with some friends. Hailey will wear her costume for that. Then, we’re going trick-or-treating with my mom’s group at a local nursing and rehabilitation home and then, when daddy comes home, we’ll go to dinner for my birthday. The little ladybug will be accompanying us on all of these outings.
