We left last Saturday, the 22nd, for our vacation to northern Wisconsin. It proved to be a very productive week for little Miss. Hailey Elyse. She started the week out by cutting her two top teeth.

That’s four total now! By the end of the week, we noticed two more top teeth heading down. She also started “crawling backwards”.

She would get up on her hands and wiggle backwards. It’s a start!

She “stood” unassisted for about 7 seconds, we couldn’t believe it (actually got pictures, too)!

She had supper with the family every night. She ate broccoli, noodles, chicken, bread, cheese, cheerios, and “cheesy poofs”, as well as baby food.

We went to “Paul Bunyan’s Cook Shanty” for breakfast on Tuesday morning. Hailey scarfed down her pancakes and eggs, oh, and some of Paul Bunyan’s “famous” donuts, too (a cottage week annual tradition).

She found it very amusing to see herself in the coffee pot.

Hailey spent her mornings out on the dock of our cottage with Grandma Barb, taking in some nice, fresh northern woods air.

She thoroughly enjoyed being doted upon by all of her cousins, aunts and uncles and grandparents.

She went swimming in the lake on several occasions and absolutely loved it! She kept splashing and kicking while out there. She took naps between 2 and 3 hours a couple of times each day. I wish she would sleep like that at home!

She enjoyed riding in a golf cart to and from cottages and taking a ride on Uncle Craig and Aunt Sarah’s pontoon boat.

She was looking quite stylish in her bikini and pink life jacket. The rule has already been set that next year, Hailey will wear a life jacket all day long, since she’ll be toddling everywhere. We had a very fun week and are looking forward to making these trips “up north” an annual vacation for our little family!
