Progress report

Hailey has been getting so big. She’s been eating solids every day. So far, her absolute favorites are: rice cereal and sweet potatoes at the top of the list. Others are: oatmeal w/ bananas, applesauce, bananas, pears, carrots, green beans. We are currently testing Gerber’s Stage 2 foods. Different mixtures and combinations. It’s fun to see her reaction when tasting the new foods. The foods that she doesn’t care for at this point are peas and prunes (can’t say I blame her).

She sits up on her own now, with the occasional tumble. She’s really into playing with her blocks and toys that make noise and say the alphabet.

Finally! A tooth! It took about 3 weeks but the first tooth finally popped through. The 2nd is on it’s way now. She’s been a bit uncomfortable with the whole process.

It’s been great to enjoy the nice weather and go on some picnics and take walks. Hailey really seems to enjoy the outdoors. We have yet to go swimming but she’s really starting to enjoy her baths.

I mentioned in a previous post that Hailey finally rolled over. She hasn’t done it again but at least we know she can do it.

Lately, we’ve been practicing kneeling and walking around the house and “pseudo crawling” (I move her legs and Eric moves her arms). She just laughs and laughs when we do this. She really seems to like getting from place to place. I think she’ll be taking full advantage of that soon.

We’re really looking forward to the next few months and the changes that will be taking place.
