While sitting outside on the swing in my mom’s yard, you can hear church bells in the distance.  I just close my eyes and smile.  This is a familiar sound to me.  I grew up hearing those church bells and it feels so good to be back.

Hailey has been having a fabulous time, meeting new cousins and so far, four of her seven uncles.  She’s been a doll.  It feels so good to have her here with me in the place where I have so many fond memories.  She sits in the yard that we played hide-n-go-seek.  She sleeps in my old bedroom and plays on the carpet that I used to play on.  It’s a sweet feeling.  I wonder if she can sense that this is where mommy grew up.

Tomorrow, she and Grammy Peggy will be getting their pictures taken.  It will be cute to see the two of them together in the studio.
